Translational Environmental Research

The director and deputy directors of The University of Arizona Institute for the Study of Planet Earth, which houses Translational Environmental Research (TER), are dedicated to supporting the program, focusing their efforts on research as well as:
- Enhancing campus interdisciplinary coordination and leadership via further investment in proven strategies;
- Achieving and maintaining preeminence in the seven thematic areas of central importance to society;
- Leveraging excellence in research to improve both graduate and undergraduate training;
- Making UA a world leader in stakeholder-driven environmental science and outreach;
- Creating a campus that sets an example by broadly embracing sustainable technologies and practices.
